November - 2006

-Haley Harper becomes the newest member of the AE staff!
We are proud to announce the newest member to our staff, Haley Harper. Haley brings many years of experience of planning social and corporate events for some of the best venues and hotels in the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex including The City Club, Omni Mandalay Hotel at Las Colinas, and Hotel ZaZa. Haley has also served on the board of directors of JWI (June Wedding, Inc) for 4 years and co-chaired the 2005 JWI June Social at the Crescent Court Hotel. Haley has a B.S. in Nutrition from Texas Woman's University where she also was President of the Alpha Gamma Delta sorority.

June - 2006

-Absolute Lighting website is launched! www.absolutelightingdfw.com
Absolute Lighting has entered it's third year of operation and we are proud to announce that this venture has been very successful. We are proud to have lit some of the most creative, high profile, over the top weddings and corporate events that the D/FW metroplex has seen. Our new website is a great place to see what we do with this service. It is also a great place to catch a glimpse at the incredible art of floral and event design and how proud we are to work with these talented artists.

December - 2005

-Absolute Entertainment wins JWI award for creatively expanding their business
Dave Von Blohn was presented the most creatively expanded business award by June Weddings Inc. June Weddings Inc. is an internationally renowned organization whose membership is made of wedding and event professionals of the highest caliber. JWI members are often considered leaders in their specific fields. Absolute Entertainment is proud that JWI has recognized it's substantial growth in 2005, specifically in the areas of wedding ceremony and reception production. Absolute Entertainment has added accent lighting, floral lighting and many other custom light and sound design to numberous events throughout Texas and Oklahoma this year.

April - 2005

-Absolute Entertainment provides entertainment for the 2005 Beaux Arts Ball
The advisory board of the Beaux Arts Ball came to Absolute Entertainment wanting a unique band to entertain their guests at the Dallas Museum of Art. Absolute Entertainment brought in one of New York's finest party bands, Soul Solution. As expected, the dance floor was packed and the guests were amazed by the musicianship and talent of this highly sought after band.

April - 2005

-Absolute Entertainment was chosen to provides entertainment and sound for the biggest wedding of 2005.
Absolute Entertainment's sound reinforcement was proud to be part of one of Dallas' most elegant and extravagant weddings. After a 50,000 square foot tent had been assembled in Lee Park next to Arlington Hall, Absolute Entertainment integrated a complete multi zone sound system for the guests to enjoy the jazz combo, a live dance band, DJ, and various speeches or announcements throughout the evening. None of the 1000 guests had any problem hearing the prayer delivered by actor Chuck Norris due to the strategically placed speakers throughout the amazing tent.
Absolute Entertainment also was a part of the bride and groom's rehearsal dinner, providing sound for speeches, sound for a small Latin music ensemble, video projection and a screen for a video montage. Not stopping there, the bride and groom also had a BBQ the day after the wedding which Absolute Entertainment provided a country band to finish off the weekend with a Texas theme after party.

November - 2004

-Christ the King School teams with Absolute Entertainment for fundraiser!
Christ the King utilized Absolute Entertainment's vast services to insure a successful fundraiser for 2004. Absolute Entertainment provided four large video displays, two camera men, fully zoned sound, and several fixed and intelligent lights for the event held at the Westin Galleria. Video screens displayed auction items, school presentations and even the live band during the after dinner dance.

July - 2004

-Dave Von Blohn presented lighting trends for the NACE.
Using the main ballroom at Arlington Hall as a backdrop, Dave Von Blohn demonstrated to the National Association of Catering Executives how any venue or ballroom can be transformed with lighting to enhance the theme of an event. Using fixed and intelligent lighting Dave coordinated the mood of the room with each coarse of the NACE dinner. Dave also explained other services Absolute Entertainment bands provide in respect to satellite and zone sound at events involving multiple rooms.

May - 2004

-Absolute Entertainment offers new custom sound and lighting services for brides.
Ceremony Sound -In an effort to further enhance each client's experience, Absolute Entertainment is providing ceremony sound and reception lighting for it's wedding clientele. Using strategically placed wired and wireless speakers and a variety of discreet microphones, AE engineers allow guests to hear every word of the ceremony official, as well as the bride and groom. Any live musicians such as string groups or singers are also amplified with pristine sound quality.
Reception Lighting -For the wedding reception, Absolute Entertainment is offering a number of lighting services designed to enhance aspects such as floral centerpieces on tables, bride and groom's cakes, dance floor, bridal portrait, guest sign-in book and also general mood lighting throughout the room. Absolute Entertainment lighting puts the focus on the details of the reception so that each guest appreciates the wedding party's vision of their special day.
Rehearsal Dinner -For the rehearsal dinner, Absolute Entertainment provides a customized video montage set to music. AE editors work with the wedding party to create a slide show style photo album choreographed to music; documenting the bride and groom from birth all the way up to the wedding day. This end product is experienced on high quality screens that include a sound system and wireless microphone for rehearsal dinner toasts. The bride and groom are also given a custom DVD to enjoy for years to come.

-Beau Nash and Absolute Entertainment teaming up!
With its strong line up of exclusive bands, Absolute Entertainment will be providing a new flavor at one of Dallas' most elegantly international night spots. The strength of Absolute Entertainment's roster of bands lies in the musical variety each band performs for the diverse Beau Nash clientele. From Sinatra to KC and the Sunshine Band, these bands will get under your skin and keep you shakin' your booty all night!

January - 2003

-Top signs on as Absolute Entertainment's newest exclusive band.
Absolute Entertainment is proud to announce the signing of one of Dallas' finest bands, Top. Led by the sensational singer Topasana Sansom, better known as "Top", this band will quickly capture your attention with their diverse musical styles and superior musicianship. Absolute Entertainment is excited to introduce this experienced band to its client base and expand the already strong reputation of Top within the Dallas/Ft. Worth social event market.

October - 2002

-Gilda enhances the view from the Nana Grill
As if the view from the Anatole's Nana Grill wasn't spectacular enough, now they've booked Gilda Medina to create an equally beautiful musical landscape. Gilda will be performing her incredible arrangements of jazz classics, smooth R&B and other musical gems every Wednesday with a small group from 8:00-12:00.

After years of booking Cuvée as an independent, AE and Cuvée have signed an exclusive contract to solidify the relationship and strengthen both parties in the Dallas/Ft. Worth private party scene. Cuvée instantly becomes one of AE's most experienced bands.
